Thumbs up Beta testing soon to start

We are currently hunting down the last bug preventing us from going into beta testing can start which then will continue for a couple of weeks. If you are interested in beta testing Left 2 Die feel free to write a post here or a PM to me and we might contact you as soon as we got a build ready for testing.

If you don't give me access to the beta, I'll cry. A lot. So much. In fact, if you live on the coast, it'd be a bad idea not to let me in, because sea levels are going to rise 3-4 metres if you don't let me play

Hahaha, ok, with a threat like that I cannot deny you access...for the sake of the Maldives.

I think we are so close to a first beta that we could consider a day next week as a potential release date...unless I find a big ugly bug this weekend...

...and that means that L2D is soon done = the work on AA2 can start! Woohoo!

Hello. I haven't visited TD forum for a long time... and now it's time to fix it

I very wish to take a part in beta testing. It would be a great pleasure to participate in creating a good title and also an opportunity for me to get experience in testing games because currently I'm looking for a job as a QA tester.

Give me a beta and You won't regret!

And what about hardware requirements? I'm using netbook - MSI Wind U100 with Intel Atom, 1 GB RAM and 64 MB for graphics. I hope it'll be useful, especially that Atom is quite unusual/untypical processor

A "netbook"? Is it about the same as an Asus EEE 1000? I've run the game on my Asus machine and it works. You might need to change some graphic settings to not run maximum. And also we might need to add some settings for you to be able to run the game in 60fps. That's what beta tests are for, finding the bugs with a wider audience and fixing the issues before the whole public is given a chance to play.

Yes, in general it's all the same so I'm "ready to rumble"

I'm in. We'll look into possibility of translation to Russian with ZabrusTenebrio along the way.

I think I misunderstood the last private message from Niklas!

Now, could anyone tell me how I can get access?

New PM sent.

Beta testing has been going on for a few weeks now. Most issues reported have been on "none gameplay" related issues meaning that most of the actual game is working rather well (at least on tests supervised by myself). We are still fixing bugs but I hope and really think that releasing the game in September would be doable.

Maybe officially start working on AA2 on 30th September would be a great day - the AA1 release day!

Thank you, Niklas.

But I was waiting for the code, and I haven't found it on your previous messages...

Anyway... Time to kill some bugs!

Is it still too late to get involved in the beta testing? I'd be really up for checking it out if there's a chance

As soon as we've reached a point where all the "system bugs" are gone (fullscreen not working, save games not working, crashing when loading next level, ...) we'll involve more testers. Until then we'll use the testers we have today since there is no point in going large scale with too many game experience breaking issues.
Luckly that won't take long until we'll increase the amount of testers since the game is starting to feel very stable and there are only a few issues left.
