Ok, we all know it is a in-game joke, but if you were a "smartass from R&D" how would you "decode" S.P.A.R.T.A.N. acronym?

My guess:
Self-Powered Anti-Radiation Tacticly Armed Neo-armor.

The closest thing to what I had in mind when I came up with that was Self-Powered Advanced Robotized Tactical Armor uNit .
But really it was never supposed to be explained, just something to leave people guessing at and an excuse for the "THIS IS SPARTA" joke.

And an excuse for an even cornier pun in the ultimately unrealised final campaign mission named "Tonight We Dine In Hell".
