If you create a standalone scenario with an attendant image file the game loads it fine and goes through the briefing. But when you click on the "start mission" button just before actually entering battle it freezes up - never getting to the actual map.

Discovered this while trying to use the standalone mission folder to speed up testing of missions rather than having to slog through every mission in a pack just to test one near the end. Obviously this was not meant to be.

What do you mean? You have a mission with custom tiles, that will only work with V1.011.

Briefing image used in missions dropped into the mission 29 folder. Yes.

With them in the standalone missions it crashed every time at that point and siezed up the computer pretty severely.

Finally remembered the MILLA code which allowed to progress with testing at some sane pace. I dont use the cheats at all so it just didnt occure to me till late in that maybee one was actually usefull for working around the problem... aheh...

I tested it with one of the "Into the Wild" maps (after re-numbering the files) just to be sure it wasnt some quirk of a map I was using - but that crashed too.

Well, if you copy Into The Wild missions into the single missions directory (29) V1.01 (and V1.0) will crash since those missions are using custom tiles that does not exist in the default tileset directory. So that is why game crashes. V1.011 will however not crash but the missing tiles will be invisible.

ahhh. Ok. So wasnt the briefing image - Was the tiles over 099 causing the issues...

I had the same issue. As mentioned already, the MILLA cheat code is what you want to use.
