Aliens and doors

IN GWSH 2nd ed, it was a viable tactic to:

1) Destroy doors with aliens. They had to roll 6 on one of the dice to succeed, but they could do it. It brings a question about security door - could aliens destroy it too? But you probably forbade aliens to destroy any kind of door in AA, right?

2) Use doors to trigger overwatch fire. Overwatch definition mentioned that the soldier shoots on anything that moves. So an alien banging a door from a safe position could have a chance of jamming the marine's bolter before the door got shot apart.

The security doors are added so we have doors that only soldiers can open and close.

What you are suggesting sounds like it could be added as an action on normal doors. Soldiers do something with the doors preventing them from ever to open. Soldiers and aliens must destroy the door to be able to pass.

Like they do in Aliens, weld the doors together. Could be pretty cool. :)

Maybe even have it as a feature for the fusion cutter only to make that weapon even cooler. :drool:
