Let me start this important thread.

I have to tell you... I simply can't wait! I don't sleep, I don't eat, and I even stopped criticizing our corrupt government!

Sometimes, I dream about playing the new version, and then I wake up into the grey, depressing reality of our 1.00 world and I am so sad.

I simply can't wait!

Ah come on it will not change the world that the 1.00 did.. it will sort out a lot of glitches and contain some extra hidden suprises but that's about it.. :)

If we could wait for AA ...we can wait fot 1.01 ... well, I think we can ... but better not think too much :)

I played a couple missions of TDSH V1.0 on monday ... and id looks dull, boring, almost like playing an ASCII Angband version.

Kamamura has now ranked up to be a TD tester. This will hopefully make the release of V1.01 quicker - and by that I do not mean leaked! :lol: :rolleyes:

I've basically finished everything that will go in and now it is focus on fixing the remaining bugs.

Well, I can tell you - after testing 1.01 for a few days, my blood pressure dropped, my knee stopped hurting, and even the neighbor's cat screams no longer under my window after midnight. It's a miracle in a few megabytes!

The Forum has gone quiet for the last week or so ... maybe the Hype is getting lost? Or maybe there's so many missions around that people have to focus on playing them :tongue:

Perhaps everyone is shooting raiders in Borderlands... I myself was not able to resist entirely, until I realized how fake is the "challenge" the game provides ;)

Well, it is a small freeware game and we cannot force people to play it forever. If nothing happens it will probably end with V1.01.

It can't just end like this! There's the Aliens mod, the Conan mod, the jungle tileset, ... full 40k battles in the open!

Can I beg, once more, for open-sourcing it? :baby:

Well, that's a pity. I rather hoped for a prolonged development like in case of Wesnoth, for example, but Wesnoth is open source, so the burden is not just on a few shoulders.

Also, 1.01 AA patch release date coincides with Hearts of Iron 3 1.3 patch release date (today), perhaps everyone is playing HOI3 :-)

Well, it wouldn't be the end of the world. If V1.01 is good enough we do not need a V1.02. ;)

Alien is fully happy with V1.0 and fixing some small things in V1.01 will make it be even better. The Conan mod will be just as fine I guess.

Definitely looking foward to it :) it's like a big present for both the exam and essay I did over the course of the last 24 hours. @_@ (those 24 hours including at least a few hours of AA procrastination)

Oh, and don't worry about any specific support for my mod, I'm more than willing to work with what's there.
